![]() ![]() Minor AI and control gripes aside, all of which are simply a testament to the times and absolutely manageable to work with, this Remaster is a gem and I really hope it’s just a sign of things to come as more C&C games get remastered with this level of passion, community involvement, skill, and heart. If the application doesnt start, please provide me with the CPU, motherboard, Graphics card models, and the BIOS and kernel version you are running. In presenting that, this is a practically flawless release – but the old-fashioned, less friendly design in places will mean this one isn’t quite for everyone. You have to take it for what it is – a glorious little piece of history. The minor shortcomings are all due to the age of this title – but this is an old game. It’s a stellar package, and hopefully a template for what is to come. Additionally, it includes 3 expansion packs, over 250 multiplayer maps, over 100 campaign missions, accessibility features, quicksave and autosave support, cinematic subtitles, text localization, voice-overs in three languages, graphics switching, a jukebox with playlist support, custom game lobbies, Replays and Observer mode, Leaderboards, camera zoom, mission selection, skirmish mode, customizable hotkeys, and more. This includes a multiplayer rebuild, a bonus gallery of unreleased FMV, a map editor, an updated user interface, and more than seven hours of remixed music by Frank Klepacki.Petroglyph, in particular the former Westwood Studios team members, remastered the titles in 4K.Both games were well-liked 25 years ago and are credited with creating the RTS subgenre. This includes the fully remastered versions of Red Alert 1 and Command & Conquer. ![]()
